Event Mode Overview

Updated 22 Sep 20262 min read

The Operator View covers what you see watching an event from the dashboard or Today tab. Event Mode is the flip side — the full-screen, on-site experience your crew lives in on their own phone while they're actually working the event.

Entering Event Mode

From the Today tab, opening an active event takes you into Event Mode — a dedicated full-screen view that replaces the normal app navigation for the duration of the event. The header shows the event's reference code, a link to the full timeline, and an exit control.

The three phases

Event Mode tracks one of three phases for the event as a whole, each with its own countdown:

  • Load-in — from your call time until doors open. Countdown reads "Doors in."
  • Live — from start time to end time. Countdown reads "Ends in."
  • Wrap-up — anytime after the event's end time. Shows elapsed time since end instead of a countdown.

This is the event's overall phase, not your personal progress — see below for that.

Your own progress

Below the phase header, a condensed timeline shows where you personally are in the day: your current step and what's next, with one action button to advance. Tap Show all steps to see the full sequence — Confirmed, Arrived, Setup Complete, Live, Wrapping, Departed, Returned. Some steps happen automatically (Confirmed on assignment, Live at the contracted start time); others need your tap (Confirm Arrival, Mark Setup Complete, Start Teardown, Confirm Departure, Confirm Return).

Confirming Arrival checks your device location against the venue. Tapping it away from the venue still records your arrival — it doesn't block you — but it's flagged as off-site rather than confirmed on location.

When something needs attention

A band appears above your timeline only when there's something worth flagging on your own assignment — running late, off-site, stalled, or a setup issue. It stays hidden the rest of the time rather than adding a permanent status indicator with nothing to say.

Run of Show

If the event has a run-of-show schedule attached, a strip shows the list of segments with the current one highlighted, so you always know what's supposed to be happening right now without leaving Event Mode.
