Calendar Import: Google Calendar
Updated 24 Sep 20261 min read
Bootheo reads your Google Calendar through its secret address in iCal format, a private link that lets another app view the calendar.
Find your link
- On a computer, open Google Calendar. (The phone app doesn't show this setting.)
- Select the gear icon, then Settings.
- On the left, under Settings for my calendars, select the calendar that holds your bookings.
- Select Integrate calendar.
- Under Secret address in iCal format, select the copy button.
Connect it
- In the dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations → Calendar Import → Add calendar.
- Choose Google and paste the link.
- Choose what to import, select Preview, then Connect.
See Importing events from your calendar for how syncing works.
Good to know
- Treat the secret address like a password. Anyone with it can view that calendar.
- If you select Reset next to the secret address in Google, the old link stops working. Bootheo will show "This calendar link stopped working" on the card. Paste the new link by disconnecting and adding the calendar again. Your imported events are kept and picked back up.
- Don't see "Secret address in iCal format"? Your Google Workspace administrator has turned it off. Ask them to allow it, or use Zapier instead.
- Changes can take a few minutes to reach Bootheo: up to 15 minutes on our side, plus however long Google takes to update the link.
