Booth Kits

Updated 22 Sep 20262 min read

A booth kit is a saved collection of hardware, software, and props you deploy together — think of it as "everything that goes out the door for this booth," bundled so you're not hunting down pieces individually every time you book a job.

Creating a kit

From the Booth kits tab, + Add kit starts a new kit. From the kit's detail page you can rename it, set it active or inactive, add a cover photo, and build out three things: Includes (the gear items in the kit), a setup guide, and linked software.

Adding items to a kit

The Includes section on the kit's rail lists every gear item currently assigned to it. Add or remove hardware from here — a kit shows Ready on the Booth kits tab once it has at least one item, and Incomplete with none.

Setup guides

Every kit has a Setup guide and a Return guide — step-by-step instructions your crew follows when setting up and tearing down. Each step has a title, a description, and an optional photo.

You can build a guide two ways:

  • Write it manually, step by step, using the built-in editor.
  • Import it from an existing document — upload a PDF, Word doc, or plain text file and Bootheo parses it into structured steps automatically. You'll get a chance to review and edit every step before saving, and add photos to individual steps afterward. This is the faster route if you already have a setup guide written down somewhere.

Once saved, crew members see the guide in Crew preview mode — the same read-only view they get on event day — so you can check it reads clearly before it ever reaches the field.

Linking software

The Software section on a kit's rail attaches specific software licenses to that kit, so it's clear which app or credential goes with which physical setup — useful once you're running more than one booth type with different software needs.

Linking checklist templates

A kit can also have checklist templates linked to it, shown in the rail. These are the load-in-through-load-out task lists your crew works through on event day, scoped either to this specific booth type or to every event regardless of kit.
